Role Description

This role contributes to the development, customization, and maintenance of HOPE’s Salesforce instance and connected platforms, ensuring data integrity, user accessibility, and system efficiency. This role will require technical expertise to design and implement innovative solutions that address business needs. S/he will regularly work with cross-functional teams and serve as a technical lead on projects that support the mission of HOPE International and the quality of our fundraising-related operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Promote and contribute to the fulfillment of HOPE International’s mission and vision.

Salesforce development and governance

  1. Design, develop, and maintain solutions on HOPE’s Salesforce instance and connected platforms, using nonprofit-specific objects, automations, Lightning components, and declarative development
  2. Configure and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other solutions to ensure reliable, accurate data movement across the organization
  3. Ensure security and data privacy by incorporating secure coding practices, recommending improvements, and helping ensure solutions align with organizational and industry standards
  4. Actively participate in Agile and DevOps practices, including version control, sandbox management, release management, and the team’s work management process

Collaboration and project leadership

  1. Translate business needs into solutions by gathering and reviewing requirements, collaborating with requestors throughout the development process, and promoting user adoption through training and documentation
  2. Serve as the technical lead for interdepartmental projects such as end-of-year receipting initiatives and software implementations
  3. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles for end users

Qualifications

  1. Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
  2. Bachelor’s degree required, with a bachelor's degree in information or computer science, engineering, finance, or business management preferred
  3. Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator required, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer preferred
  4. Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, system integrations (REST/SOAP), and third-party APIs
  5. Demonstrated excellence in team communication and organizational skills
  6. Initiative in analyzing, researching, and implementing system improvements
  7. Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to solve issues gracefully under pressure
  8. Ability to communicate technical solutions, strategies, and value to non-technical audiences
  9. Demonstrated desire to help people experiencing material poverty find hope and dignity through discipleship and access to financial tools
  10. Experience in non-profit or technology sectors preferred
