01 · THE AGENTS

Our agents
do the work

01Pick the process.Batch release, deviations, CoAs. One you already run, or one you want set up. Whatever your team still does manually.
02It plugs into your systems.Your MES, your LIMS, your Vault, your spreadsheets, the portal. In whatever arrangement your company ended up with.
03The agent handles the manual work.Reads, drafts, checks, writes back. A person audits and approves. Nothing else changes.
01Engineers assigned to you.An extension of your team you don't hire and don't manage. They work in your systems and learn how your company's processes actually run.
02The agents fit your process. Not the other way round. Our engineers reshape the agents to fit your workflows. Nobody on your side changes how they work.
03They own it in production.New agentic builds, integrations, run, manage & improve agents. Theirs, not your IT's.
04Or they run it for you.If your team would rather not operate agents at all, our engineers run the work through them and hand you the output.
02 · FORWARD-DEPLOYED ENGINEERS

And our engineers make sure they keep running inside your systems.

You name what you want done.
It gets done.

The agents do the labour. The engineers do the fitting. Neither job lands on you.

ENTERPRISE AI HARNESS

Built to be trusted

01
It learns your company, and keeps itself current.
It maps your systems, how they connect, and what your terms mean from site to site. When anything changes, it re-learns them.
02
It knows what it’s sure about.
Facts your systems state, it acts on. Inferences, it weights lower. Conflicts go to a person, never acted on quietly.
03
Same task, same answer, every time.
It retrieves instead of guessing, so every step is repeatable and validatable. And no run is a black box: replay it, fix the cause once, it won't repeat.
04
Your team explains something once.
When your team settles something the system couldn’t, that ruling is saved and every agent inherits it.
05
You decide how far each agent goes.
Three levels, per process: it drafts, it proposes and waits for sign-off, or it runs on its own and escalates exceptions.
06
You control what every agent & user can touch.
Each agent & user is scoped: the systems it reads, the records it sees, the actions it takes, who can run it.

Commercial operations

A Fortune 500 US pharmaceutical company

Commercial campaigns moved through a five-stage process where requirements validation and technical design were manual and generated rework across the rest. Both are now agent-operated: requirements validated against compliance rules before entering the pipeline, technical flows generated from validated inputs. Intake, audience build and execution remain with the team, with approval at every handoff.

Campaign cycle time reduced 75%, from 141 days to 35.

Commercial analytics

A Fortune 100 life sciences company

Business users ask in natural language, typed or spoken, and receive governed answers with the underlying query exposed. Every request is resolved against the enterprise metadata graph, validated for safety and executed only against approved sources under the user's own permissions. One agent replaces the per-dataset assistants and the reporting queue behind them.

Self-serve analytics across HCP and campaign data, with the query exposed on every answer.

Manufacturing and supply

A US precision manufacturer serving pharmaceutical packaging and diagnostics

The context layer was deployed over the customer's ERP and warehouse management systems and the agents built against their operational data model, not a CRM abstraction of it. A pattern that transfers to any SAP S/4HANA estate: agents that read and act on the system of record.

Warehouse operations agents on the ERP layer, built against the customer's own operational data model.

FAQ

Questions
pharma teams
ask us.

Grouped by who usually asks them. If yours is not here, talk to us and we will answer it directly.

What it is
What does Clientell do for life sciences companies?

Clientell provides the agentic infrastructure for pharmaceutical and biotech companies: the infrastructure layer that agents run on, the agentic workflows that carry each process end to end, the interface your teams use to run and approve them, and the agents themselves, covering every business operation from discovery through commercial. The agents work inside the systems you already run, such as Veeva Vault, MES, LIMS, eQMS, SAP and Medidata, and take on the manual work your teams do today: reading documents, drafting records, checking data across systems and writing results back, with a person approving before anything regulated is filed. Clientell's forward-deployed engineers build, maintain, improve and manage the agents in production, so none of that work lands on your IT team.

Which pharma processes can the agents take on?

Clientell has mapped 742 processes across ten departments: discovery and preclinical, clinical development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and quality, supply chain, commercial and market access, medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, compliance and transparency, and enabling functions. Examples include deviation triage and CAPA drafting, safety case intake and MedDRA coding, regulatory commitment tracking, wholesaler chargeback reconciliation, monitoring visit report QC and HCP spend-cap checks. If a process is not on the list, Clientell's forward-deployed engineers build it for you, and it joins the list for every department after you.

Who is Clientell for?

Pharmaceutical and biotech companies that discover, develop, manufacture or commercialise a therapeutic, from clinical-stage biotechs to global pharma. Clientell covers the work sponsors do in-house even when part of it is outsourced, including clinical trial operations, eTMF, regulatory submissions and pharmacovigilance oversight. Medical device, pharmacy and CRO businesses are not the focus.

Is this a chatbot?

No. A chatbot answers questions. Clientell agents complete work: a document-intake agent populates a safety case from source documents, a monitoring agent watches for registration expiries across markets, a system-of-action agent drafts the CAPA record and routes it for approval. Eight agent types cover intake, monitoring, ask-your-data, system-of-action, legacy-system wrappers, chat, voice and back-office work.

For the department head
Do we have to change how our team works?

No. The agents fit the process you already run, in the systems you already have. Your team keeps its workflow, its approval steps and its systems of record. The agent takes the manual reading, drafting, checking and writing back. A person reviews and approves, as they do today.

Who builds and maintains the agents?

Clientell's forward-deployed engineers, assigned to your account. They learn how your processes actually run, reshape the agents to match, integrate them with your systems and keep them running, improving and managed in production. If your team would rather not operate agents at all, the forward-deployed engineers run the work through the agents and hand you the output.

How do we start?

Pick whatever process you would like to turn agentic, in whichever department it lives. Clientell maps the systems that process touches, and the forward-deployed engineers deploy the agent and fit it to how your team already works. From there, add the next process whenever you are ready: each new agent starts from an environment that is already mapped, so it lands faster than the one before.

For quality and regulatory
Can an agent release a batch, file a submission or close a CAPA on its own?

No. On processes like these, Clientell makes the job easier rather than doing it for you. 21 CFR 211.192 and 211.165 require documented QA sign-off on batch disposition, and GCP and GLP name accountable people by role, so the agent prepares the record, the investigation or the submission package, and a qualified person reviews and signs. While you review, you can ask the agent questions directly: what the batch record says on a given step, which prior deviations reference the same equipment, what the source document behind a number is, or what a related SOP requires. It answers from your systems and documents, with the reference attached, so the person signing has everything in front of them. The FDA's first AI-specific warning letter in April 2026 targeted AI-generated GxP records used without human review. That is the line Clientell is built to stay behind.

How much autonomy does an agent get?

You set it per process, at one of three levels: the agent drafts only; the agent proposes and waits for sign-off; or the agent runs on its own and escalates exceptions to a person. Regulated steps stay at the first two levels. Non-regulated back-office work, such as reconciling 3PL inventory against the ERP, can run at the third.

How does Clientell support 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11?

Every read, draft, check, approval and write an agent performs is recorded in a ledger that can be replayed step by step. Each agent has its own identity, with access granted per system and per action and set to expire. Electronic signatures stay in your validated system of record; the agent never signs for a person. The agents are designed to maximise consistency: they retrieve from your systems rather than guess, so the same task is built to return the same context every time, which is what makes an agent's behaviour repeatable and testable in a validation exercise.

What happens when an agent is unsure or the data conflicts?

It stops and asks. Facts your systems state, the agent acts on. Facts it inferred, it weights lower. Conflicts and ambiguities go to a person and are never acted on quietly. When your team settles a question the agent could not, that ruling is saved and every agent inherits it.

For IT and security
Where does our data go, and is it used to train a model?

Your data stays in your systems. Nothing you own is trained into any model. The map Clientell builds of your environment holds names and relationships, not values: the agent reads values at run time, inside your systems, under your access controls, with sensitive fields encrypted end to end. Because the map describes your environment and not a model, switching models never reopens your data protection review.

Can it run inside our own cloud or on premises?

Yes. Clientell ships as managed SaaS, in your own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or on premises.

What certifications and controls does Clientell hold?

ISO 27001 certified information security management, SOC 2 Type II audited controls, HIPAA with a business associate agreement for any PHI in clinical data, and GDPR for EU data. Access is scoped per agent and per user to the systems it reads, the records it sees and the actions it takes. The trust centre holds the audit reports.

Which systems does it integrate with?

Whatever you run. Clientell's forward-deployed engineers build the integrations for your systems, in whatever arrangement your company ended up with: Veeva Vault and Veeva CRM, Medidata, SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, IQVIA, TraceLink, Icertis, DocuSign, Microsoft 365, Okta, SailPoint, public sources such as ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, the NPI Registry and the OIG exclusion list, and the spreadsheets, portals and lab instruments in between. Nothing is swapped out or migrated; the agents sit on top of what is already there.

For the CIO
How is this different from the AI inside Veeva, SAP or our other vendors?

A vendor's AI works inside that vendor's product. Most pharma processes cross systems: a deviation touches the eQMS, the MES, the LIMS and an email thread. Clientell agents read and write across all of them, which no single system of record can do from inside its own walls.

How is this different from hiring a consultancy or building in-house?

A consultancy leaves a deck and a finished project. Clientell leaves a running system with engineers who keep running it. An internal AI team can build one agent; keeping a map of the whole estate current, and running dozens of agents on it, is a different job. And because every agent reads the same map, the tenth costs less than the first, which is the opposite of a point-solution vendor's economics.
