Quick answer

Which Salesforce template should I use first?

Start with the 100 AI Prompts library if you're an admin or developer. It's the highest-leverage template we publish: 100 copy-paste prompts that turn 3-hour admin tasks into 3-minute ones across permissions, flows, formulas, debugging, reports, LWC, SOQL, Apex, dedup, and documentation.

Origin

Why these templates exist

The fastest way to scale a Salesforce admin team isn't more headcount. It's compounding the team's own past work. The validation rule one admin wrote in 2024 should make every admin's 2026 faster. It usually doesn't, because it's locked inside one Slack channel or one departed-employee's laptop.

These templates extract that compounding pattern at the ecosystem scale. Every template is a real artifact (prompt, flow, validation rule, permission set, dashboard) that's been deployed to production by a Clientell engineer or a customer team. You copy it, fill in the [bracketed parts], paste into your AI tool or org, and ship in minutes.

71% of admins are using AI tools. Only 32.4% feel confident doing it. The gap closes when you stop writing prompts from scratch and start with a battle-tested template, with the right context, the right framing, and the right validation step pre-built.

Templates are the highest-leverage content we publish. A single template, used by 1,000 admins each saving 30 minutes, returns 500 hours of compounded work into the ecosystem. That's the math we optimize for.

What makes a good Salesforce template

We have rules for what makes the cut. If a template doesn't pass all four, it doesn't ship.

  1. #01

    Battle-tested in production.

No template ships unless it's been deployed in at least one real Salesforce org under real load. We don't publish theoretical patterns or “this would work” examples.

  2. #02

    Bracketed customization, not blank slate.

Every template has [BRACKETED PARTS] you fill in. The reader replaces the brackets with their specifics, copies the rest verbatim, and ships. No blank-page paralysis.

  3. #03

    Validation step included.

Every template includes the sanity-check or test step (sandbox-first, Apex test class, or 'verify by running this query'). Templates without validation produce false confidence; we don't ship them.

  4. #04

    Versioned with the platform.

Salesforce ships three releases a year. Templates show their tested-against version and get re-run on each major release. Stale templates expire.

State of the library

What's published today

We publish templates in batches grouped by category (AI prompts, Flow patterns, permission sets, validation rules). Each batch is built off a single production org we've shipped to.

Workflow

How to actually use templates

Templates work best when they're integrated into your existing workflow as the default starting point, not a special-occasion lookup.

Three placement patterns that compound

  1. #01

Bookmark the template index inside your AI tool.

If you use ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for Salesforce work, save the template URL as a custom GPT / project / system prompt reference. The next time you need a flow / formula / validation rule, the template is one tab-switch away.

  2. #02

Drop the template into your team Slack as a pinned message.

When a teammate asks how to do X, the answer is the template URL plus a one-line guidance on which [bracketed parts] to fill in. Shared institutional memory, with zero duplicated work.

  3. #03

Always sandbox-first, even for a “simple” template.

Templates are tested, but your org isn't ours. Drop the template into a sandbox, validate it produces the expected output, then promote to production. Skipping this step is how good templates produce bad outcomes.

What not to do

  • Don't paste a template verbatim into production without filling in the [bracketed parts]. The brackets exist for a reason; missing them produces nonsensical results that look authoritative.
  • Don't strip the validation step. Every template includes a sanity-check; it's the highest-leverage 30 seconds of the workflow. Skipping it is how templates ship bugs.
  • Don't fork the template into your own private store and let it diverge. Reference the source URL so when the template gets updated, your team gets the update.

Roadmap

What's coming next

Each batch is grouped by category. The next batches focus on the highest-volume daily admin work.

  • Q3 2026

    Flow Patterns Library (50 templates)

50 reusable Flow patterns across record-triggered, screen, and scheduled flows. Each ships with the test class and the bulkification check.

  • Q3 2026

    Validation Rules Library (75 templates)

75 validation rules covering permissions, data quality, stage gates, and compliance. With the formula plus the bypass-permission-set pattern.

  • Q4 2026

    Permission Sets Library (40 templates)

40 permission set patterns for common roles (junior admin, RevOps lead, Apex developer, integration user). Audit-friendly and least-privilege by default.

  • Q4 2026

    Dashboard Templates (25 templates)

25 dashboard layouts for sales, RevOps, and admin reporting. Each ships with the source-data SOQL and the report metadata.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered

Are templates free?

On-page templates are free to read and copy. PDF downloads (full template libraries with all variants) require a work email. We don't accept gmail/yahoo for the gated PDFs.

Can I share a template internally with my team?

Yes. Share the on-page URL. For team-wide distribution, get the PDF via the email-gated download. We ask only that you keep the attribution back to clientell.com so future updates reach your team.

Do templates work outside Clientell's AI agent?

Yes. Every template is tool-agnostic. AI prompt templates work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and any LLM. Flow / validation / permission templates work in any Salesforce org running Enterprise edition or higher.

How often are templates updated?

Quarterly minimum, plus after each major Salesforce release. The frontmatter shows the tested-against release version.

What if a template breaks in my org?

Most likely cause: a [bracketed part] that needed customization for your edition or your custom object model. Re-read the template's customization notes. If it's still broken, send a screenshot via the contact form; we'll diagnose and update the template.

Can I contribute a template?

Yes. Send the artifact (prompt, flow XML, validation rule formula, permission set XML) plus a screenshot of it running in production. If it passes the quality bar, we publish with attribution.

Do you have templates for Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Marketing Cloud?

Most templates target Sales Cloud and Service Cloud (the two highest-volume editions in our customer base). Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud templates are on the roadmap for Q4 2026 onward.

Are templates AI-friendly?

Yes. Each template is published in a format AI engines can parse: clear preamble, [BRACKETED PARTS], example fill-in, validation step. Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Claude can all extract a template by URL and adapt it to a user's specific request.

Getting Started

Copy the template. Ship it the same hour.

Templates only matter if you actually deploy them. Hand the wiring to Clientell AI and turn 50 templates into 50 shipped changes inside your org, sandbox-first.
