About Clientell AI

Clientell AI is a San Francisco company. We run Salesforce and revenue operations for enterprise clients, hands-on, and we build the custom AI agents that live inside those systems to handle the work our clients' teams don't have time for. The pod that designs, ships, and stands behind this for our largest accounts sits in HSR Layout, Bangalore.

We're building that team on purpose: one pod, the same accounts, working together instead of handing tickets to each other. Those accounts include a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company, a European home improvement retail group, and a US commercial fleet safety manufacturer. We'll share more account detail as your interview progresses.

We're seventeen people, and about to be more. The next few hires shape what this company becomes, not just what it ships this quarter.

About this role

Growth here isn't a department with a roadmap somebody hands you. It's whatever is actually stopping more people from finding Clientell, trying it, and sticking around, and right now nobody owns that full-time.

That's this internship. You'll work across strategy, experiments, and data with direct access to the founding team. Not as an observer sitting in on decisions somebody else makes, as the person running the analysis and the test. Four to six months, one metric you actually move, not a portfolio of slides about growth theory.

We're taking two people. You won't be doing the same thing as each other, and neither of you will be doing what the other one has already tried.

This sits outside our Services delivery team. It's a separate seat on the growth side.

What you'll actually do

  • Help define where growth actually comes from right now: acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and which of those is worth the next sprint
  • Design and run real experiments across the funnel, from a landing page test to an onboarding tweak to a cold outbound sequence, and read the results honestly even when they don't confirm what you hoped
  • Build your own data pulls and dashboards, and report what's actually happening rather than what looks good in a deck
  • Turn a messy pile of user and account data into a segmentation or a model that changes what we prioritize
  • Build the automation that makes a channel work: enrichment, list building, sequencing, scoring. Most growth work at our stage is a pipeline nobody has built yet
  • Sit in the room with product, engineering, marketing, and sales when growth tradeoffs get decided, and bring a number to the conversation, not just an opinion
  • Take one growth loop from idea to something that's actually running, and own the ugly middle part where it doesn't work yet
  • Kill your own experiment when the data says to, and say so out loud

What makes you a fit

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. Nobody is going to hand you a fully-scoped ticket, you'll have to figure out what the actual problem is first
  • You can write a basic script or query and pull your own data instead of waiting for someone else to run it for you
  • You think in numbers. If you can't tell us whether something worked, you haven't finished the experiment
  • You've done something growth-adjacent before, even informally. Grown a small project, run paid ads with real money, built an automation that got you users, sold something. Anything with an actual before-and-after
  • You can hold a conversation with an engineer and a salesperson in the same day and adjust how you talk without losing the substance
  • You write clearly. A lot of this job is a short, honest memo about what happened and what you'd do next
  • You can be in the office in HSR Layout, Bangalore, for the full four to six months. This isn't remote-friendly work
  • Realistically this fits someone still in college, just graduated, or early career and looking for real ownership over a short window rather than a name on a resume

Use AI like you mean it

If there's a part of this internship an AI tool can do faster than you, we expect you to have already made it do that part. Research, enrichment, analysis, copy, list building, all of it.

Bring one thing you've built or automated with AI. A script, a research workflow, an outreach pipeline, an analysis. Two minutes, screen shared. We'll ask what it got wrong and how you caught it.

Even better if

  • You've used SQL or Python to pull and analyze your own data, not just looked at someone else's dashboard
  • You've run paid acquisition, even a small budget, and can talk through what worked and what you'd change
  • You've built or shipped something people other than your friends actually used
  • You understand basic experiment design: sample size, significance, why a two-day A/B test usually means nothing
  • You've done B2B outbound and you know why most of it doesn't work
  • Salesforce, CRM, or B2B SaaS exposure, since that's the world Clientell operates in, though we don't expect it going in

What it's actually like here

This isn't a rotational program with a syllabus. Some weeks you'll be deep in a spreadsheet nobody else wants to touch, other weeks you'll be in a room with the founders deciding what we test next. We won't manufacture busywork to fill the four to six months, and we also won't hand you easy wins.

Most of your experiments will fail. That's the job, not a sign you're doing it badly. What we'll care about is whether you found out fast and were honest about it.

What you get in return: direct access to the people making the actual decisions, real metrics with your name on the outcome, and the kind of internship that's a genuine head start if growth or an operating role is where you want to go next.

Compensation and logistics

₹30,000–₹50,000/monthInternship · On-site · HSR Layout, Bangalore, India

₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per month, based on experience and interview performance. No equity, this is a four to six month internship, not a full-time role.

Full time, in office, HSR Layout, Bangalore. Not remote.

If it goes well for both of us, there's a full-time conversation at the end. We won't promise it going in, and we'll tell you where you stand before the last week.

How we're hiring for this

Two seats here, on the growth side. Separately we're hiring six Salesforce Developers, four Software Engineers, and two Software Engineer Interns into the Services team. If you're more interested in building the product than in moving the number, look at the Software Engineer Intern seat instead. If you're strong at both, tell us on the first call and we'll work out which one you'd actually enjoy.

Interview process

Three steps, not ten. We don't drag interviews out and we don't leave you wondering — you'll know where you stand after each one.

  1. Thirty minutes with the hiring manager: what you've built before, how you think about a metric, your AI demo, your questions
  2. A working session on a real growth problem we're facing right now. You walk us through how you'd approach it, not a polished plan. We'll push back and see whether you update
  3. A conversation with the founders

We aim to close this in under two weeks from the first call. If we pass, you'll hear why.
