• At 35 minutes, you should be past 22 questions.
• At 70 minutes, you should be past 43 questions.
• Keep the last 10 minutes for flagged questions only.

Expected result: you finish with flagged questions still open, not unanswered ones. If you are behind at a checkpoint, guess on the slowest question and move on, because a blank scores zero.

The trade-off: a hard scenario question is worth the same as an easy recall question. Skip anything that needs more than 2 minutes, and bank the easy points first.

• Automation: record-triggered flows, screen flows and scheduled flows in Setup > Flows. Process Builder is retired, so skip it.

• Service and Support Applications: Case assignment and escalation rules, queues, and Knowledge.
• Agentforce: what an agent, a topic and an action are, set up in Setup > Agentforce Agents, and how permissions limit what an agent can do.

How do you prepare for the admin exam, step by step?

This plan assumes 10 to 15 hours a week for four weeks. Do every step in a free Developer Edition org, never in a company's production org.

1. Read the exam guide. Copy each objective into a sheet and mark it red, amber or green. For example, "Given a scenario, determine the appropriate use of a custom profile or permission set" is one objective.

4. Week 2, objects and apps. Build a custom object with a master-detail field to Account. Add two record types and a Lightning record page. Configure Lead, Opportunity and Case end to end, including a lead assignment rule and a case escalation rule.
5. Week 3, automation and data. Build a record-triggered flow that updates Opportunity.NextStep when Opportunity.StageName changes. Import test Contact records with the Data Import Wizard, then add a duplicate rule on Contact.
6. Week 4, analytics and Agentforce. Build a summary report on Opportunity grouped by StageName, and a dashboard with a dynamic running user. Finish the Administrator Certification Prep module on Trailhead.
7. Run two timed mocks. Book the exam once you beat the exam guide bar of 68% on two mocks in a row, with room to spare.

The expected result: by the end of week 4, every row in your sheet is green. You have built each feature once in your own org, from the sharing rule on Account to the flow on Opportunity.
